Help for ASTGRAD

PURPOSE:
ASTGRAD takes as input the 5 ASTER TIR channels of Level 1B data, in units of
milliWatts per square meter per steradian per micrometer and performs an
atmospheric correction to yield upwelling radiance at surface, in the same
units. The user is required to provide the path transmittance and path
radiance for each channel.

OPERATION:
ASTGRAD uses the VICAR programs COPY an F2 to copy out each ASTER TIR channel
and apply the following formula:

     Radiance(ground) = [Radiance(sensor) - Pathrad] / Transmittance

Once all 5 channels have been processed, the results are reassembled into a
single file by the VICAR program TRAN. The output file will have BSQ
organization.
