Help for AREAISO
PURPOSE:
To create maps of auxiliary latitude & longitude for equal area projections
of irregularly shaped objects.
Only good for polar coordinates.
The planet models must conform to a standard grid and reside in a directory
pointed to by the PATH keyword.
Based upon Dr Yang Cheng's solution.
EXECUTION:
areaiso out=(lat,lon,area,angle,dlat,dlon) planet=phobos 'north
METHOD:
First the program reads the planet model file located in PATH.
This is an ascii table with west longitude, latitude, radius each 5 degrees.
All angles are planetocentric.
The program then solves the Cauchy equations for an equal area projection
of the ISO on a polar coordinate grid, either 'north or ' south.
The auxiliary coordinates are only useable for a polar coordinate grid.
